66. Level Up Your Leadership: Featuring Dr. Kelly Crane
Welcome to the Aspire: The Leadership Development Podcast! In this episode, Joshua talks with expert coach and new Better Leaders Better School Mastermind cohort leader, Dr. Kelly Crane. Dr. Crane shares her experience moving up the career ladder from Assistant Principal to Superintendent and how to find a network of supporters, while working through difficult situations as a district leader.
Dr. Kelly Crane has spent her educational career in Kansas and Missouri. She was a teacher and coach prior to going into administration where she led a middle school and then a high school. Dr. Crane advanced to Central Office as an Assistant Superintendent and finished out her career in education as a Superintendent of Schools. She is passionate about leading and helping leaders develop to their fullest potential, is people-centered, and an excellent communicator who puts people first to build confidence and trust. Dr. Crane believes that creating a vibrant climate and culture is essential for continuous achievement and that the shortest distance between two points is always a straight line.
Dr. Crane is currently working with Better Leaders Better Schools to help school leaders fight isolation and frustration via a leadership community in order to gain clarity and find solution to their greatest challenges.
